Uploading video to YouTube is easy. It is also easy to then embed the video in your IMS, your blog, or any other webpage. This is my most viewed video on YouTube.

Google Video is the main competitor to YouTube, even though YouTube is now owned by Google.

Here is an example at TeacherTube. This is the viral video named Did You Know and has been watched millions of times in the past year.

Blip.tv is another of many alternatives for free web-hosting of your videos. This particular video below was captured using CamStudio and Google Earth.

According to the developer: “CamStudio is able to record all screen and audio activity on your computer and create industry-standard AVI video files and using its built-in SWF Producer can turn those AVIs into lean, mean, bandwidth-friendly Streaming Flash videos (SWFs).” I’ve used it many times and it works great. CamStudio is not a web-based tool because it does require a download and install on your computer. However, it is free and easy-to-use.
